FBL Physicians

Dr. Sharon M. Bush-Coaxum, born and raised in Mobile, AL ,  received her Bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She attended the University of South Alabama School of Medicine for medical school and complete her residency at Tulane University. She is a board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, Dr. Bush-Coaxum is proud to serve her country as a Flight Surgeon in the Unites States Air Force Reserve where she provides medical care for our nations’ Airmen and veterans. As an OB/GYN she feels privileged to be such an integral part of women’s healthcare through each stage of life. She states, “I am dedicated to providing high quality care for each patient from adolescence to menopause and beyond. I understand the value of communication and take the time to listen to my patients.” Dr. Bush-Coaxum’s special interests include preventative healthcare, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and low and high risk pregnancies.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching football, and relaxing at the beach.
